The Day of Our Death

On the day we die,

We will have no identity.

People will simply say:

"The body has arrived."

We will have washed the body,

We will have made the arrangements for the cemetery.

You can still see the face,

And we will ask: "What time do we lift the body?"

When everything is ready,

We will need to lift the body.

Then, people will cry.

But once the body is gone,

They will talk about current events and politics.

At the cemetery:

We will take precautions with the body,

We will say not to let the dirt fall directly on it.

We will lay down mats and leaves,

To prevent the dirt from touching it.

Five minutes later,

We will still throw dirt to cover it.

And after leaving the body there,

People will forget,

And start joking and laughing again.

Poor being and poor body.

You have no name, no identity anymore.
