The Triolet Women Empowerment Centre Reopens

On October 30, 2025, the newly renovated Women Empowerment Centre in Trois Boutiques, Triolet, was officially reopened. The inauguration was attended by the Minister of Gender Equality and Family Welfare, Mrs. Arianne Navarre-Marie, and the Minister of Local Government, Ranjiv Woochit.

The centre aims to empower women by providing access to training, entrepreneurship support, and essential social services. This initiative represents the upgrading and reopening of the third centre this year, following similar projects completed in Camp La Boue and Richelieu.

In her speech, the Minister of Gender Equality stated that the reopening of the centre is a symbolic milestone in the government's broader mission to create safe and inclusive spaces that promote women's empowerment. It will serve as a platform for women and girls to acquire new skills, share experiences, and explore personal and professional advancement opportunities. This initiative reflects the government's ongoing commitment to enhancing women's participation in social and economic development.

Mrs. Arianne Navarre-Marie urged the officials and staff to ensure the centre operates effectively, offering a wide range of programs and activities tailored to meet the needs of women. "This centre should be a dynamic space where women can learn, network, and grow, and it should serve as a benchmark for women's empowerment in the region," she added.

The Minister reminded everyone that the reopening of the Triolet Women Empowerment Centre marks an important step towards expanding learning, entrepreneurship, and social support opportunities for women. She encouraged women and girls to fully utilize the facilities.

The Triolet Women Empowerment Centre will provide a variety of services, including vocational training, entrepreneurship support through the National Women Entrepreneur Council, family counseling, as well as legal and psychological assistance. All these services aim to promote personal growth and economic independence among women in the region.
