Two paths converge. In 1834, Constance Couronne, a child enslaved in Mauritius, was deported to Australia. In 2018, Nicolas Couronne, who had never heard of Constance, stops in his tracks before her photo. Not only does he see a resemblance, but for seven years, he has been scouring archives to connect with Constance Couronne.
