Aditi Boolell: "I am calm, I have nothing to reproach myself for"

Aditi Boolell stated, "I am calm, I have nothing to reproach myself for," during a press conference following her visit to the Anti-Money Laundering Unit of the Central Criminal Investigation Department (CCID) on Tuesday afternoon, November 4.

The former Company Secretary of Menlo Park Ltd was questioned as part of the investigation into the company. Her lawyer, Me Nirakar Hawoldar, indicated that she came to clarify all the processes of Menlo Park. According to him, the investigators focused on the affidavit jointly signed by Aditi Boolell and Stéphane Adam, the director of Menlo Park Ltd, as well as other sworn affidavits since January.

The hearing also addressed an audio recording of a WhatsApp conversation that allegedly took place on the night of November 11, 2024, involving Aditi Boolell, Stéphane Adam, and Tevin Sithanen, the son of the former governor of the Bank of Mauritius, Rama Sithanen.

"We have come to speak the whole truth," stated Me Hawoldar, adding that it is now appropriate to allow the investigation to take its course.

Aditi Boolell had previously been questioned regarding the same case, which involved a request for financial assistance and the receipt of one million US dollars—approximately Rs 45 million—by Menlo Park/Pulse Analytics, led by Mary Queenie and Stéphane Adam.

This amount, granted by the Mauritius Investment Corporation (MIC), was intended to support the business after the post-Covid-19 period. The funds were reportedly released on October 28, 2024.

Additionally, a controversial audio recording was released on September 15 on YouTube by the pseudonymous account "Tone Laké Sat." In the recording, a voice attributed to Tevin Sithanen is heard making insults and threats against Aditi Boolell, also mentioning sensitive issues related to the MIC.
