Ten people were injured, four of them seriously, after being deliberately struck on Wednesday in western France, on the island of Oléron, by a driver who shouted "Allahu Akbar" at the time of his arrest, announced the public prosecutor's office, which has opened an investigation for "attempted murder."
The National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office (Pnat) has not taken over the case "at this stage," clarified Arnaud Laraize, the public prosecutor in La Rochelle, to AFP.
