Richelieu Prison: A 16-Year-Old Girl Under Police Investigation

A 16-year-old girl is under investigation for attempting to smuggle a prohibited item into Richelieu prison.

Surveillance footage shows her handing a SIM card and a piece of paper to an incarcerated acquaintance during visiting hours on Thursday, November 6.

The girl was accompanied by her grandmother at the time of the incident. A search conducted by the guards led to the discovery of the SIM card and paper in the possession of the inmate, who has been serving a six-month sentence for theft since September 19.

The young girl will soon be questioned by the police.
