Radio Plus invites you to kick off the festive season with joy at its grand premiere event, "Laughter Night," taking place on Sunday, November 30th at 7 PM at the Trianon Convention Centre. A host of local artists will take to the stage to ensure a night filled with laughter.

A Line-up of Renowned Comedians

For two hours, a group of established local comedians will lead the audience on a humorous and authentic journey rooted in Mauritian daily life.

The line-up includes: Visham Ramdoo, Ton Gaby, Ton Marcel, Lydia None, Kamal Chadee, the Freeman group, Olivier and Christina Sirop, and Yousoof Elahee. These talents will share a series of sketches, anecdotes, and sharp observations.

The show's concept is based on a simple setting: everything unfolds in an imaginary house. Through this comedic closed-door scenario, the artists will narrate the joys, sorrows, quirks, and amusing situations that characterize Mauritian life.

According to Venen Coolen, the station manager of Radio Plus, each scene aims to reflect Mauritian society, particularly through its accents, expressions, and unique local humor. "As we enter the festive season, this show is an invitation to go out, gather with family or friends, and enjoy a moment of relaxation and cheer," he emphasizes.

The event also plays a crucial role in supporting local artists. Venen Coolen notes that it is not always easy for island comedians to find accessible platforms to showcase their talent. With "Laughter Night," Radio Plus provides them with a prominent stage and the opportunity to be appreciated by a wide audience.
