A heavy rain warning was issued at 4:30 AM on Sunday, November 9, 2025, and will remain in effect until 10:00 PM tonight. According to the weather station, atmospheric conditions in our region remain humid and unstable, conducive to the formation of active clouds.
Moderate to locally heavy showers are expected throughout the day, mainly in the south, east, and central plateau, with isolated thunderstorms.
Thunderstorms may spread to other areas late in the afternoon and could persist into the evening. Therefore, a heavy rain warning is currently in effect for Mauritius.
Temporary water accumulations are likely in flood-prone areas.
Visibility will be reduced due to fog and rainfall in some regions.
