The 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) on climate opens this Monday, November 10, in Belém, at the gateway to the Brazilian Amazon, and will continue until November 21. Although Mauritius contributes only about 0.01% of global greenhouse gas emissions, the country is among the economies most vulnerable to climate disruptions. Therefore, Mauritius aims to address challenges such as rising sea levels, coastal erosion, and economic shocks.
