This is the story of a dream that became iconic... In 1975, on the serene shores of Belle Mare, Constance Hotels & Resorts opened its very first establishment. This modest hotel was driven by a simple yet visionary idea: to provide sincere hospitality rooted in the island's natural beauty of Mauritius. This founding vision subtly marked the beginning of a new chapter in the history of hospitality in the Indian Ocean. Fifty years later, Constance Hotels & Resorts has established itself as a leading hotel brand in the region. To commemorate its golden jubilee, the hotel group has organized a series of prestigious events throughout October and November, honoring not only its legacy but especially celebrating the men and women who have kept its heart beating for half a century.

To celebrate this half-century of history, Constance Hotels & Resorts is rolling out a rich program of internal and external events, characterized by emotion, sharing, and excellence. In 1999, Constance Hotels & Resorts became the first Mauritian hotel group to open a hotel abroad: Constance Lemuria in Praslin, Seychelles. The group now has nine hotels across five destinations in the Indian Ocean (Mauritius, Seychelles, Maldives, Madagascar, and Rodrigues), showcasing Mauritian expertise in luxury tourism, gastronomy, spa services, and golf.
