Phoenix Beverages, with its iconic brand, Phoenix Beer, marks the grand return of the Maiden Cup

Phoenix Beverages, through its iconic brand, Phoenix Beer, is proudly announcing its official partnership with the Mauritius Turf Club Jockey Club (MTCJC) as the official sponsor of the Phoenix Maiden Cup 2025, marking the return of a historic collaboration after more than a decade.

This event is highly symbolic, as the very first Phoenix Beer was launched on a Maiden day 62 years ago, forever sealing the bond between the brand and the country’s most prestigious race day.

More than just a horse race, the Phoenix Maiden Cup 2025 embodies the heritage, passion, and pride of Mauritius. This alliance between Phoenix Beer and the MTCJC pays tribute to a tradition deeply rooted in our culture: that of gatherings, sharing, and celebration.

Under the iconic slogan “2 Lanblem Rezwenn,” Phoenix Beer highlights three essential pillars: the legacy passed down through our history and the transmission of values, honoring the generations that built the legend of the brand and the Champ de Mars; the passion and pride that reflect the love for sport and attachment to our roots; and finally, the Phoenix symbol, which embodies resilience, strength, and national unity.

On Sunday, November 16, the Champ de Mars will become the stage for an exceptional day: Phoenix Maiden Cup Day. This event will bring together the best of horse racing and Mauritian popular culture in a festive, family-friendly atmosphere. A giant stage will host a major artistic program featuring Blakkayo, Clarel Armel, Ti Alexandre, Krumania Group, the Bhojpuri Boys, and several other surprise guests.

Between each race, attendees will enjoy short, lively musical performances, maintaining a vibrant atmosphere throughout the day.

In anticipation of record attendance, the MTCJC will implement enhanced organizational measures to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety. Additional parking areas will be set up around the Champ de Mars, and marshals will be deployed to guide visitors and guarantee a seamless and enjoyable experience for all.

“The Maiden Cup is much more than a race: it’s a heritage, a tradition, and an emotion shared by the entire nation. Phoenix Beer was launched on a Maiden day, and returning today as the official sponsor is a meaningful and prideful full circle. Through this partnership, we celebrate our roots, our passion, and our unbreakable bond with Mauritians. ‘2 Lanblem Rezwenn’ perfectly expresses this union between two iconic symbols of our island, not to mention that the Champ de Mars is the oldest racetrack in the southern hemisphere,” emphasized Patrice Sheik Bajeet, Senior Marketing Manager of Phoenix Beverages Group.

Phoenix Beverages, through Phoenix Beer, and the Mauritius Turf Club Jockey Club warmly invite the Mauritian public to come and celebrate the Phoenix Beer Maiden Cup 2025 on Sunday, November 16, at the Champ de Mars. Come experience the emotion, passion, and pride of this legendary race that has united Mauritians for generations around a common flame: that of the phoenix.

The Phoenix Maiden Cup 2025 promises to be a historic moment, a symbol of unity, passion, and national pride. A true celebration of the Mauritian spirit, it will mark the meeting of two emblems that share the same values: Phoenix Beverages and the Mauritius Turf Club Jockey Club, united to promote our heritage and culture.
