Firearm Possession and Driving Under the Influence of Drugs: Son of Former Minister Sesungkur Released on Bail

Arrested on Sunday at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Airport for illegal possession of a firearm, Sohail Sesungkur, a 26-year-old resident of Moka and son of former Minister of Financial Services, Sudhir Sesungkur, appeared yesterday in Mahébourg court for driving under the influence of drugs and possession of an unlicensed firearm. He was released on bail of Rs 11,000 and a bond of Rs 50,000.
