Cybercrime: 837 Cases Reported in Two Years, but No Convictions Recorded

Member of Parliament Stéphanie Anquetil questioned the Prime Minister regarding the composition of the Cybercrime Unit and the number of complaints filed in the past two years, particularly through the Mauritian Cybercrime Online Reporting System (MAUCORS+).

In his response, the head of government reaffirmed his administration's commitment to protecting citizens against the rapidly evolving digital threats. Established in 2006 under the auspices of the Central Criminal Investigation Department, the unit aims to combat cybercrime effectively.
