Cascavelle Roundabout Operational from Saturday, November 15

The Minister of National Infrastructure, Ajay Gunness, announced that the works on the Cascavelle roundabout leading to Flic-en-Flac will be completed on Friday, November 14, 2025, and the road will be operational starting Saturday, November 15, 2025.

A site visit was conducted on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from Pierrefonds to Cascavelle to assess the progress of the works along the Flic-en-Flac By-pass. Members of Parliament, representatives from the Road Development Authority, and other stakeholders were also present.

The Minister stated that the new road, which stretches approximately 5.8 kilometers from Beaux Songes to Cascavelle, is expected to be ready by December. He mentioned that the final phase from Cascavelle to Flic-en-Flac should be completed by March 2026.

He acknowledged that the construction work is impacting traffic in the area and urged road users to be patient until the works are completed. "Once finished, the new road infrastructure from La Vigie to Flic-en-Flac will significantly improve traffic flow and reduce travel time," he stated.
