Mamy Ravatomanga Case: Me Junaid Fakim Released on Bail
On Thursday, November 13, the Rose-Hill court granted bail to Me Junaid Haroon Fakim during his appearance before this judicial body this morning. The bail was set at Rs 500,000, along with a debt acknowledgment of Rs 1 million.
The former commissioner of the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC) is required to report daily to the nearest police station in Floréal between 6 AM and 6 PM, and must adhere to a curfew from 10 PM to 5 AM.
Me Junaid Haroon Fakim faces two provisional charges: "abuse of his public functions for personal gain" and "breach of confidentiality," under the FCC Act, for alleged incidents that occurred on October 14, 2025, in Quatre-Bornes. These charges are part of an investigation into alleged misconduct involving the Malagasy tycoon Mamy Ravatomanga.
