Construction of the Rivière des Anguilles Dam Expected to Begin in August 2026

The construction of the Rivière des Anguilles Dam is set to begin in August 2026. This announcement was made by Patrick Assirvaden during the opening ceremony of the first consultative workshop on the water sustainability master plan in Mauritius, held in Port Louis on Thursday morning, November 13.

According to the Minister of Public Services, an international tender will be issued next month for the realization of the Rivière des Anguilles Dam.
