Fatal Hit-and-Run in Camp Levieux: Driver Arrested Again Following DPP Office Order
The driver involved in the fatal accident in Camp Levieux, Nigel Décidé, 19, has been arrested again this afternoon and placed in police custody. This second arrest comes after a statement issued by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) on Saturday, November 15, which ordered the detention of the driver after the revelation of previously undisclosed facts.
Recall that on November 7, a car driven by Nigel Décidé collided with the motorcycle of Muzzamil Hussenboccus, 30, who lost his life in the accident. The driver and his passenger fled the scene, and subsequent tests revealed that Nigel Décidé was under the influence of drugs.
Nigel Décidé is set to appear before the Weekend Court tomorrow on new provisional charges. The police have indicated that they will oppose any request for bail.
