Questions to... : Roshan Kokil: "Opening the Doors to Foreign Expertise Without Compromising National Sovereignty"
In response to the rise of complex crimes such as cyber attacks, money laundering, drug trafficking, and terrorism, the state proposes to amend the Police Act (19/1974) to allow the Police Commissioner to employ specialized foreign investigators. This reform, championed by former Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Roshan Kokil, a lecturer and coach in Law and Criminal Justice, aims to enhance the investigative capacity of the Mauritian police.
