In Saudi Arabia: Missing Shaik Masudabanu

Shaik Masudabanu, 53, of Indian origin and married to a Mauritian, has been missing since Thursday, November 13, in Medina, Saudi Arabia.

The couple left Mauritius on Tuesday, November 11. They made a stopover in Dubai on Wednesday, November 12, before arriving in Medina on Thursday. The next day, they performed the Zohr prayer together. For the Asr prayer, her husband left before her and gave her the hotel card. Since then, Shaik Masudabanu has not been seen.

The last signal from her phone was located on Friday, and then there was no further contact. Shaik Masudabanu cannot read or write and only communicates in Urdu, Hindi, and Gujarati, complicating the search efforts.
