Horse Racing: Good Council Makes a Big Splash and Wins the Phoenix Maiden Cup
Joy erupts in the Nagadoo clan! After a series of promising placements, the underdog Good Council has achieved a resounding victory in the most prestigious event on the calendar, witnessed by Prime Minister Dr. Navin Ramgoolam, who attended the event at Champ de Mars.
Under the inspired guidance of Raymond Danielson, Arveen Nagadoo's charge delivered a spectacular performance. Well-positioned behind William Iron Arms at the start, he cleverly took the lead 400 meters from the end of the first lap. In full swing, controlling his pace, he asserted his dominance.
In the final meters, The Gatekeeper attempted to make a comeback, but Good Council, determined and brave, held strong and soared towards a brilliant triumph.
This marks a historic victory for the Arveen Nagadoo stable, as they clinch their very first Maiden in the most splendid fashion.
