Air Mauritius: Bérenger wanted Megh Pillay to be the "boss", but "there were obstacles"
During a press conference, Deputy Prime Minister and MMM leader Paul Bérenger stated that he wished for Megh Pillay to become the "boss" of the national airline. However, he mentioned, "there were obstacles," not from the government itself, but "around" the government.
Bérenger clarified that this issue was discussed in detail during his two meetings with Navin Ramgoolam last Saturday and Monday.
"We discussed the reorganization of Air Mauritius and its subsidiaries in depth. New boards will be appointed, not only for Air Mauritius but also for all its subsidiaries, in the coming days," said Paul Bérenger.
