Salary Compensation 2026 - Reza Uteem: "I hope we reach an acceptable amount for all parties"
Salary compensation discussions for 2026 will begin on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. The technical committee will be chaired by the Minister of Labour, Reza Uteem.
Representatives from various trade unions and employer organizations will participate in the working session. The unions propose compensation amounts ranging from Rs 855 to Rs 1,851, while the private sector emphasizes the need to balance purchasing power preservation with the economic viability of businesses.
Participants will review the official inflation rate as well as proposals from different stakeholders. The Minister of Labour seeks to foster dialogue. "The representative from the Bureau of Statistics will present on the state of the economy, particularly the inflation rate. Salary compensation is an annual adjustment based on the cost of living. I hope we reach an acceptable amount for all concerned parties," states Reza Uteem.
