The Theft of Pethidine at the Northern Hospital: A 46-Year-Old Employee Arrested
A 46-year-old employee from the Northern Hospital has been arrested for stealing ten vials of Pethidine, a controlled medication used for injections. The man confessed to the crime during an interrogation on Saturday by detectives from the Divisional Crime Intelligence Unit (DCIU) of the Northern Division.
However, a search of his home did not uncover any incriminating evidence. The middle-aged man has been detained and is set to appear in court in Pamplemousses on Monday, November 24, for his provisional charge hearing.
