Allegation of Bribery for Obtaining an NHDC House: A Housing Ministry Advisor Alerts the Police
A housing and land ministry advisor filed a complaint with the Plaine-Verte police on Friday, November 21, regarding an alleged bribery case. In his statement, the advisor explained that he received a phone call that evening, during which the caller reported a demand for a bribe related to acquiring an NHDC house. According to his account, an individual working at the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) allegedly requested a sum of Rs 3,000.
When contacted by the police, the whistleblower identified himself as a resident of Vallée-des-Prêtres and provided his identity. He confirmed that he had called the advisor earlier to inform him of the alleged case and expressed his willingness to officially file a complaint regarding his allegations. The matter is currently under investigation.
