Financial Situation: STC Reports a Surplus of Rs 3.55 Billion After Previous Year's Deficit

After experiencing a deficit of Rs 6.22 million in 2022-2023, the State Trading Corporation (STC) has reported a surplus of Rs 3.55 billion for the fiscal year 2024-2025, indicating a slight improvement in its financial situation. During the inauguration of a mini soccer pitch at St. Luc Residence in Curepipe on Sunday, November 23, Commerce Minister Michael Sik Yuen explained that this outcome reflects the measures implemented over the year to stabilize the STC.
