Complaint to the CCID: Osman Mahomed Targets a Facebook Post Accusing His Wife

On Tuesday, November 25, Transport Minister Osman Mahomed filed a defamation complaint at the Central CID regarding a Facebook post that contains accusations against his wife.

Accompanied by his lawyer, Me Zeeshan Rajani, the minister lodged a statement against the author of the post, identified as Deenarain Lokeee, whose comments he describes as false, malicious, and defamatory.

According to Osman Mahomed, the internet user wrongly accuses his wife of being responsible for a car accident, despite a court ruling stating otherwise.

"It is unacceptable to attack my family, who are not involved in politics," he stated, condemning what he considers an unjustified personal attack.
