Cost of Living: Padayachy Blames the Government and Highlights Families in Distress
Renganaden Padayachy raises his voice. In a new video posted on Facebook, the former Minister of Finance accuses the government of betrayal and criticizes the comments made about the previous administration regarding the depreciation of the rupee.
According to him, after a year in power, the situation has not only failed to improve but has worsened against the British pound and the euro. He claims that some families are now forced to sell their jewelry to afford their children's school uniforms.
He argues that the measures announced to alleviate the cost of living have not produced the expected results. The population, he states, continues to face particularly high prices in supermarkets.
