Today, Marie expresses her creativity in her café, Lady Mary, dedicated to her grandmother. Located in St. François, this establishment has a unique concept: everyone finds a bit of home there, amidst the nostalgic sweets of the past and the warm atmosphere inviting indulgence.

In this café, she reinterprets traditional pastry recipes with her own flair, adding her colors, personal touch, and creativity. But Lady Mary is not just about desserts; it also offers delicious Mauritian dishes, prepared with the same care and passion.

"Lady Mary is more than a café; it’s a place where people enjoy themselves, a spot celebrating sweetness and resilience," Marie explains. After an initial attempt in 2008 with a small salad shop and ice cream counter, which was halted due to lack of funding, she finally found the formula that allows her to combine passion, heritage, and creativity.

A Professional Transformation

"I never gave up," she asserts. After fifteen years in education, she felt it was time to return to her dream, to hold it firmly this time, unafraid of falling.

Today, Marie Letandrine leads her pastry and ice cream shop. When she talks about it, her eyes shine with quiet pride. "I designed it as a place for sharing," she explains.
