Riche-Terre: Drug Seizure Worth Rs 140,000 at Guest House, Two Suspects Arrested

Riche-Terre: A drug raid conducted by the Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (ADSU), in collaboration with the Divisional Crime Intelligence Unit (DCIU), took place on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at a guest house in Riche-Terre. Two rooms were searched, leading to the confiscation of illegal substances.

In room 123, occupied by Oumesh Ramasamy, the police found 45 doses of synthetic drugs, along with 9 packets and 4 doses of heroin.

The officers then proceeded to room 120, occupied by Soovansh Bissoon, also known as "Chouchou", where 15 drug-soaked papers were discovered.

The total value of the seized drugs is estimated at Rs 140,000. The two suspected dealers, who were already known to the police, have been taken into custody. The operation was supervised by Inspector Lepois from the Abercrombie anti-drug unit.
