Lost Winning Lottery Ticket: Supreme Court Rejects DPP's Appeal
The Supreme Court has upheld the acquittal of Teemal Gokool and Jean-Pierre Stellio Antonio, dismissing all seven appeal arguments presented by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). The case involved allegations of conspiracy to misappropriate the jackpot from the 201st Lottery draw in 2013 through a false claim of a lost "winning" ticket.
In its ruling, the Supreme Court deemed the DPP's arguments as "baseless" and fully validated the acquittal of the defendants.
