The PMSD Denounces the 'Tyranny of Numbers' in the National Assembly

The PMSD has responded to the heated exchanges that took place in the National Assembly on Tuesday, November 25, between Adrien Duval and the Minister of Lands and Housing, Shakeel Mohamed.

Tensions escalated when MP Franco Quirin questioned the Minister of Sports, Deven Nagalingum, regarding a recording related to the Mauritian Olympic Committee's elective general assembly. In light of the turmoil, the Assembly President, Shirin Aumeeruddy-Cziffra, had to suspend the session.

In a statement to RadioPlus on Wednesday, November 26, Mamade Khodabaccus, Secretary General of the PMSD, criticized the attitude of the majority parliamentarians, accusing them of attempting to destabilize Adrien Duval through what he refers to as the 'tyranny of numbers.'
