Baie-du-Tombeau: Discovery of a Cannabis Cultivation Estimated at Rs 4.5 Million

A police operation carried out by the Divisional Crime Intelligence Unit (DCIU) and the Divisional Supporting Unit (DSU) on Wednesday, November 26, in Baie-du-Tombeau, led to the discovery of an indoor cannabis cultivation in a house.

The Anti-Drug and Smuggling Unit (ADSU) was summoned to the scene and seized twenty-eight cannabis plants and approximately three kilograms of cannabis leaves. The value of the drugs is estimated to be over Rs 4.5 million.

Four tents set up inside for cultivation and various equipment were also recovered. All items have been sealed at the ADSU office in Abercrombie. As of now, no arrests have been made. The police have collected scientific evidence that could lead to the suspects.
