Mosquito Products: Fumakilla Unveils Its Japanese Formula in Mauritius
Fumakilla Limited, the Japanese giant in domestic insecticide solutions, officially launched its new high-efficiency aerosol on the Mauritian market on Tuesday, November 18. The event, held at the Lai Min restaurant in Port-Louis, was attended by Toshiaki Muramoto, Managing Director of Fumakilla Japan, Tatsumi Utsugi, Manager of International Business, and Andrew Liu Man Hin and Thierry Liu Man Hin, the CEO and Director of E.A.L Man Hin & Sons Ltd, the official brand representative in Mauritius.
Founded in 1874, Fumakilla has established itself as a global leader in insect control, boasting over 150 years of expertise and a presence in more than 70 countries. Its mission, "Protecting life, lifestyle, and the environment that nourishes us," is driven by a commitment to continuous research and innovation. Under the slogan "Quality for Everyday Life," the brand develops effective, sustainable products that meet international safety standards.
The newly launched aerosol in Mauritius exemplifies this commitment to innovation. Formulated with an exclusive particle control technology, it ensures maximum adhesion to insects and rapid extermination. This new generation of insecticide is significantly more powerful than previous versions and offers a more pleasant user experience, thanks to its premium dual-cap design that provides better grip. The aerosol also releases a light orange fragrance, masking the strong odors typically associated with insecticides.
In light of vector-borne diseases such as dengue and chikungunya, this solution provides enhanced protection. The product is effective against mosquitoes and a wide range of household pests including flies, cockroaches, ants, dust mites, and centipedes. Its less oily formulation ensures a cleaner application, minimizing sticky residues.
During his speech, Thierry Liu Man Hin praised the introduction of this new formula to the Mauritian market: "We are offering a redesigned formula, more effective and tailored to current needs. This version targets a wide range of pests and strengthens prevention against mosquito-borne diseases." He highlighted the long-standing partnership with Fumakilla: "We have represented Fumakilla in Mauritius since the 1960s. This new product is part of our ongoing effort to provide even more effective protection."
In addition to the launch, the brand unveiled two new products in the Fumakilla Vape range: a new generation insecticide tablet available now and a refill liquid expected in 2026. The distribution of the new aerosol and related products will be handled by E.A.L Man Hin & Sons Ltd, with a gradual rollout in various retail outlets across the island.
