Domestic Gas: Purchase Limited to Four Cylinders

The Ministry of Commerce has announced new measures regarding the sale and storage of 12 kg domestic gas cylinders. These regulations aim to combat excessive stockpiling, abusive purchases, and the misuse of these cylinders.

From now on, a consumer will not be able to buy more than four cylinders at a time. Penalties range from a fine of Rs 10,000 for a first offense to Rs 75,000 for repeat offenses.

The Minister of Commerce emphasized that the goal is clear: to put an end to these abuses.
