Plaisance: A 56-Year-Old German Arrested with Rs 31 Million Worth of Heroin, His Local Contact Caught
In Plaisance, two kilograms of heroin were seized at the airport yesterday, November 27, by the Anti-Drug Smuggling Unit (Adsu) in collaboration with officials from the Customs Anti-Narcotics Section. The drugs were discovered during a baggage check of a 56-year-old German national, who works as a nurse. Hidden in a false compartment of his suitcase, agents found 2 kilograms of heroin pellets, valued at Rs 31 million.
As part of a controlled delivery operation, a 34-year-old resident of Plaine-Verte was arrested by Adsu while attempting to receive the drugs. Both suspects are now in police custody.
