Renewable Energy: CEB and EDF Réunion Join Forces for a Modernized Power Grid
The Central Electricity Board (CEB) is now receiving support from Électricité de France (EDF) Réunion to reach a target of 60% renewable energy by 2035, as the initial goal of 2030 was deemed "unrealistic" due to financial, technical, and logistical constraints. As part of this initiative, the country will begin modernizing its power grid with EDF Réunion starting in December, a critical step to accelerate the energy transition and enhance sustainability.
