Parliament Under the Strain of Numbers

The Parliament cameras sometimes reveal more than the speeches of our elected officials. On Tuesday, they captured two scenes that encapsulate the state of our democracy: a Deputy Prime Minister hurling an "espes de tret" at an opposition MP and a Minister losing his temper in front of the same Adrien Duval. Two outbursts, two extremes, two revelations, but above all, symptoms of a deeper ailment: "the tyranny of numbers", as denounced by the PMSD.
