Middle East: Over 70,000 Deaths in Gaza Strip, According to the Health Ministry

The Health Ministry of the Gaza Strip, under Hamas authority, announced on Saturday that more than 70,000 people have been killed in the Palestinian territory since the outbreak of the war triggered by the unprecedented attack from the Islamist movement in Israel on October 7, 2023.

This new toll comes a month and a half after the implementation of a fragile ceasefire negotiated by the United States, with both sides accusing each other of violations.
