Sky To Be has begun his community service as he celebrates ten years in the music industry. Since November 25, he has been serving 300 hours of community service at the Central Barracks, taking a break from his sold-out concerts.
At 35, the artist exchanges the spotlight for this new experience, stating, "This period is a new experience for me. Life has taught me a great lesson: humility and respect. Every day, I learn. I try to be as humble as I can."
Ironically, this coincides with the launch of his new album, Mo Sakrifis, which resonates with his current journey. "My sacrifices, my circumstances, my lessons... I put everything in it," he expresses.
Sky To Be interacts with other young individuals in similar situations, viewing these connections as opportunities for personal growth. "I’m gaining the chance to meet new people and stay positive. We never stop learning in life; every day is a lesson. God has allowed me to meet these people."
When assigned tasks by his probation officer, he commits fully, stating, "I give 100%, even 200%. I’m not here to impress but to work. When it’s done, I feel satisfied in the moment."
This discipline mirrors the rigor that has taken him to the stage, yet here, the stage is the very heart of the police headquarters, which paradoxically motivates him to push himself even further.
He addresses his past mistakes candidly, acknowledging that everyone makes errors and emphasizing the importance of learning from them. He reflects on his youth, recognizing how circumstances led him to this point, and insists he won’t wallow in self-pity but rather see his experiences as growth opportunities.
As a father of two, with a supportive wife and family, he prioritizes them above all. "My family is my priority, my wife is always behind me."
He also speaks of his newfound spirituality, stating, "Now I let God take my hand. I know I won’t hit a wall. God doesn’t abandon you. I’ve surrendered to Him. This spirituality is not just a facade; it’s a lifeline. Without Him, nothing is possible."
Sky To Be shares a simple message with the youth following him: "Don’t let time slip away. What’s happened can’t be fixed; enjoy the present. Life is beautiful."
Today, he moves forward without pretense, owning his past and turning his struggles into tools for rebuilding. His sincerity resonates as he extends a hand to others who, like him, are learning to rise again.
In 2014, Sky To Be was convicted of stealing 45 liters of methadone and was sentenced to 300 hours of community service instead of prison time. This decision came after a favorable social report, following an incident where he and accomplices broke into a health ministry warehouse. Although he denied involvement, the court found him guilty based on credible testimony. He has since expressed regret, stopped drug use, and wishes to set a positive example for his children and fans. He will resume his community service at the Line Barracks and return to court on June 4, 2026.
