Montagne du Pouce: Hiker Rescued After Foot Injury

A coordinated rescue operation took place on Saturday on the slopes of Montagne du Pouce in Saint-Pierre. Alerted in the afternoon, teams from the Mauritius Fire and Rescue Service, supported by the Special Operation Division, intervened to assist a young woman injured during a solo hike.

According to information gathered, the hiker, a 19-year-old woman from Botswana currently residing in Réduit for her studies, suffered an injury to her foot during her ascent.
