Peru: 12 Dead and 30 Missing After Landslide in River Port

The Peruvian Navy is searching on Monday evening for at least 30 people who are missing after a landslide sank two moored boats in a river port in the central part of the country, resulting in the deaths of 12 passengers, including four children.

The landslide occurred early Monday morning at the Iparia port in the Amazonian region of Ucayali, where the rainy season has begun. The two river vessels were moored when the landslide struck.
