Diamond Jubilee: London College Unveils 60 Years of Excellence Emblem

The London College has unveiled its official logo to celebrate its Diamond Jubilee, symbolizing 60 years of excellence and shared history, while launching the festivities planned for 2026.

On Monday, December 1st, the London College presented the official logo of its Diamond Jubilee at its premises on Renganaden Seeneevassen Street in Port Louis, during a modest ceremony attended by students, teachers, parents, and staff. This historic moment marks 60 years of excellence and the kickoff of the celebrations scheduled for 2026.

Terry Chan Lam, rector and son of founder Harold Chan Lam, led the ceremony with emotion and pride. “It is with immense pride that I unveil today the official logo of the London College's Diamond Jubilee,” said Terry Chan Lam. “It symbolizes 60 years of dedication, perseverance, and excellence in Mauritian education,” he added, visibly moved. Since its founding in 1966, the institution has transformed from a humble school into a national pillar, educating thousands of Mauritians. “This logo is not just a design: it celebrates our shared history and pays tribute to Harold Chan Lam, passionate educators, and students whose successes continue to honor our institution,” he added.

A Strong Symbolism

The rector explained the meaning of the logo:
