Parliament: Lawyer Ravi Yerrigadoo Received Over Rs 32 Million for Legal Advice, According to the Prime Minister
Ravi Yerrigadoo has received more than Rs 32 million in fees for legal advisory services from at least twelve state-owned institutions between 2017 and 2024. This information was disclosed by Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam during the Prime Minister’s Question Time (PMQT) on Tuesday, in response to a question from MP Nitish Beejan. The Prime Minister also listed the institutions involved, including the State Bank of Mauritius (SBM), Maubank, the Bank of Mauritius (BoM), the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA), and Mauritius Duty Free Paradise, among others. Navin Ramgoolam added that an investigation will be launched to clarify the circumstances under which lawyer Ravi Yerrigadoo was solicited.
