Electoral Reform: Public, Political Parties, and NGOs Invited to Submit Proposals
As part of the Government Program for 2025-2029, the government has decided to launch a call for proposals to advance electoral system reform. This was announced in a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office on Tuesday, December 2nd.
All relevant stakeholders, including political parties, academia, the Mauritian diaspora, trade unions, NGOs, and civil society organizations, as well as the general public, are invited to submit their proposals and suggestions to the Prime Minister’s Office.
Contributions must be sent to the Electoral Reform Secretariat, Prime Minister's Office, by Friday, January 30, 2026, at the latest. They can be mailed to the following address: New Treasury Building, Port-Louis, sent via email to [email protected], or faxed to 210-6823.
