At the Heart of the News: Debate on the Points License and Road Safety Bill

At the heart of the news: The Road Traffic (Amendment) Bill, points license, and road safety will be the focus of the program "At the Heart of the News" this Tuesday. As fatalities continue on our roads, the government is responding with the reintroduction of the points license and a bill aimed at improving the situation. However, some groups still have reservations.

To discuss this topic, Murvind Beetun will host Barlen Munusami, a road safety expert, Zaid Ameer from the Dealers in Imported Vehicles Association, and Sajeev Mewasingh, a road safety activist. The Minister of Transport, Osman Mahomed, will also address the audience, presenting the bill for its first reading in Parliament this Tuesday.
