Confusion Surrounding the PRB Report: Haniff Peerun Reacts

The president of the Mauritius Labour Congress, Haniff Peerun, has strongly reacted to statements made by Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam in Parliament regarding the Pay Research Bureau (PRB) report.

During a Private Notice Question (PNQ), the Prime Minister indicated that he could not provide details regarding the publication date of the report or its implementation, while noting that its preparation is at an advanced stage.

This position is one that Haniff Peerun claims he cannot understand, believing that the document should already be ready. "There’s something fishy going on," he stated during a broadcast on RadioPlus this Tuesday afternoon.

According to him, this situation is fueling growing frustration among civil servants who are awaiting clear decisions concerning their salary conditions.
