Disability Pension System: Ashok Subron Announces a Reform

On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, during an event held in Moka for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Minister of Social Security revealed that the number of individuals with disabilities increased by 45% between 2011 and 2022.

In his address, Ashok Subron discussed reforms to the Disability Pension System. He announced the upcoming introduction of the Inclusive Living Allowance, which is set to replace the current Disability Allowance with an increased amount, expected to be implemented in early 2026.
