Port-Louis Night Market: Nearly 800 Applications Registered

Approximately 800 individuals have already filled out the application form to participate in the Night Market, which will take place from December 12, 2025, to January 11, 2026, on Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Street, also known as Desforges Street, in Port-Louis, according to Mayor Aslam Hossenally.

Currently, fewer than 300 stalls are available in the designated area for this event. However, the mayor assures that vendors already operating in this zone will be automatically retained. He also mentioned that a proposal may be submitted to the Council of Ministers to seek permission to use additional streets to accommodate more vendors.

The participation fee is set at just under Rs 200 per day, totaling approximately Rs 4,000 for a month of activity, according to Aslam Hossenally. The list of selected vendors is expected to be announced by Monday.

Interested individuals have until tomorrow at 2 PM to complete their application form.
