England: Manchester United Drops Points Against West Ham
Manchester United drew 1-1 with struggling West Ham, currently in 18th place, missing the chance to close in on the top four in the Premier League after the 14th matchday.
The Red Devils, unable to build on their victory against Crystal Palace, remain in 8th place, just two points behind Chelsea, who occupy the fourth spot.
After being held at bay for nearly an hour, the Mancunians finally took the lead through Diogo Dalot, who capitalized on a deflected shot from Casimiro in the 58th minute. However, West Ham's French midfielder, Soungoutou Magassa, who had an impressive game, equalized by tapping in a ball that was cleared off the line by Noussair Mazraoui in the 83rd minute.
In the absence of the injured Matthijs de Ligt and with Leny Yoro relegated to the bench, Manchester United's coach, Ruben Amorim, fielded an unusual three-man defense with 19-year-old Ayden Heaven starting at center-back alongside Luke Shaw and Noussair Mazraoui. The young defender, visibly nervous, was substituted after halftime for Yoro.
