Nomination: Pillay Chedumbrum Appointed Chairman of ICTA

Tassarajen Pillay Chedumbrum, the former Labour Minister of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), has been appointed as the new chairman of the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA). He succeeds Dick Ng Sui Wa, who was closely associated with the previous government and resigned shortly after the general elections in November 2024. Pillay Chedumbrum, a former president of the Mauritius Tamil Temples Federation and a professional lawyer, served as the ICT minister in the PTr government.
